Overview
This is a full time post for a highly motivated and committed individual to undertake a key role as a Consultant in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. The post is based at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Lahore, Pakistan. The individual will be expected to provide pulmonary and critical care expertise in the day-to-day management of sick cancer patients seen at the hospital.
The selected individual will work within multi-disciplinary teams and will also be responsible for teaching and training residents in Internal Medicine as well as speciality Fellows in Pulmonary Medicine. There is also a commitment to teaching of respiratory therapists. The appointee is expected to liaise closely with surgeons and physicians in other specialties and allied staff within the Hospital.
Eligibility Criteria:
- American Boards in Internal Medicine with Post-residency fellowship in Pulmonology or Critical care
- Ability to work under pressure, interact and coordinate with diverse groups of people
- Good computer and communication skills
- Willing and able to take on increasing responsibility with time.
- Full Registration with the PMDC
